This 1s Only a Test of National Censuring
So, I’ve been having trouble accessing Google’s blog pages this week due to an issue with the censuring of materials by the government of the country I’m presently residing in. I’m simply trying to test my ability to post via Live Writer regardless of the issues.

This 1s Only a “Test Your Health”
I’m posting my three favorites from an article I read today by Kate Dailey, who was writing for Men’s Health Magazine. The article “18 Health Tricks to Teach Your Body” is a medical smorgasbord of advise gathered from Medical Specialists. The advice I will be putting into immediate use will be the three listed bellow:
“Clear Your Stuffed Nose - Forget Sudafed. Here's an easier, quicker, and cheaper remedy to relieve sinus pressure: Alternate thrusting your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then pressing between your eyebrows with one finger. This causes the vomer bone, which runs through the nasal passages to the mouth, to rock back and forth, says Lisa DeStefano, D.O., an assistant professor at the Michigan State University college of osteopathic medicine. The motion loosens congestion; after 20 seconds, you'll feel your sinuses start to drain…
Fight Fire Without Water - Worried those wings will repeat on you tonight? Try this preventive remedy: "Sleep on your left side," says Anthony A. Starpoli, M.D., a New York City gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine at New York Medical College. Studies have shown that patients who sleep on their left sides are less likely to suffer from acid reflux. The esophagus and stomach connect at an angle. When you sleep on your right, the stomach is higher than the esophagus, allowing food and stomach acid to slide up your throat. When you're on your left, the stomach is lower than the esophagus, so gravity's in your favor.
Prevent Near – Sightedness - Poor distance vision is rarely caused by genetics, says Anne Barber, O.D., an optometrist in Tacoma, Washington. "It's usually caused by near-point stress." In other words, staring at your computer screen for too long. So flex your way to 20/20 vision. Every few hours during the day, close your eyes, tense your body, take a deep breath, and, after a few seconds, release your breath and muscles at the same time. Tightening and releasing muscles such as the biceps and glutes can trick involuntary muscles—like the eyes—into relaxing as well.”
Thank you for compiling this advice Kate Dailey. Keep flexing those mental muscles readers. Until my next post remember, “This 1’s only a test!”

This 1s Only a Test - Van Smashed by Tram
Antalya, Turkey – Not from the AP
A Hyundai Starex late nineties model was smashed by the Coastline Tram this afternoon as locals were getting off work. The owner miscalculated the rate of speed of the tram as he sped to turn onto a intersecting side street seconds before being smashed by the oncoming two-car tram.
The accident which left none seriously injured did succeed in stopping all tram traffic for the rest of the evening as the police were summoned and an official inquiry was made regarding the event. By 18:00 the police arrived and made the necessary inquiries.
Police were not quoted as saying, “this was the worst traffic accident they had seen all day,” but their faces gave the impression of one dumbfounded by the stupidity of the impatient drivers of the city. If one of the local residents had been questioned regarding the accident they might have complained about the rate of speed of the drivers as they navigate their back streets in the outlying region of ISIKLAR.
As an eye witness to this event I would like to state that most of the statements are true while some are only slightly invented for the purpose of a more interesting boring Thursday story. If anyone is looking for a smashed Hyundai van they can contact me by commenting on this blog post. Until next time remember, "This 1s only a test."

This 1s Only a Test - GO TO BED! WAKE UP HAPPY!

Okay, so I admit I’m not good at following my own advice, but when push comes to shove and the authorities that be, my wife (and she is very persuasive), insist that I must get to bed I simply point to this site and find the next departure for the snooze boat that will take me on happy voyages and return me to the land of the living with a smile on my disheveled head. I must admit that it doesn’t matter what time I go to bed I still wake up with a messy head of hair…
I guess the up side is I still have a head of hair. One day I may not have this problem. In the mean time check out this site that runs the simple mathematical equation to determine exactly when you’ll need to go to bed in order to wake up happy.
This 1s Only a Test - Etude–Music or Art?
This is not an original piece just something that caught my eye as I was stumbling today but a cool doodling idea for someone who has no intention of practicing their scales and would prefer the light practice of sight reading an "Etude". Looks like one of my Russian speaking comrades is giving up on making music and has moved on to drawing music.
My guess is the piece was supposed to be played a bit faster than the doodler anticipated and so they gave up and started drawing instead. After all the tempo is supposed to be “davolno bistro” – Enjoy! Thank you for sharing http://behance.vo.llnwd.net/profiles3/92883/projects/727592/baf34525c0474f8508fedb11d17f3e57.jpg
